Shoring

Design-build excavation support for residential, infill and commercial projects across Southern Ontario. Over 100 shoring projects completed.

Dig to the lot line. Leave the neighbours alone.

Deep basements and tight lots are the norm in Toronto now. Shoring is what lets you excavate straight down beside a neighbouring foundation, sidewalk or utility without the ground moving.

We use over 20 years of construction experience to deliver complete design-build shoring: the design, the permits, the drilling and install, and the haulage. Our crew is experienced, our equipment is sized for the job, and the schedule stays yours.

What we take care of

  • Site review and shoring design for your excavation
  • Permits that go with the shoring
  • Drilling and setting steel soldier piles
  • Timber lagging placed as the excavation goes down
  • Spoil removal and haulage
  • Work in all soil conditions

Not sure if your project needs shoring? Send the address and the depth you’re planning. We’ll tell you.

How a job runs

One contractor, one schedule, from first site visit to an open, supported hole.

  1. Site review

We look at the drawings, the soil, the neighbours and access, then tell you what the site actually needs.

  2. Design and permits

Shoring is designed for your excavation and we handle the paperwork that goes with it.

  3. Drilling and install

Our crew and equipment drill, set piles and caissons, and place lagging as the dig goes down.

  4. Haulage and handover

Spoil hauled, site left clean, and the hole ready for your foundation crew.
